Sunil,
I'm believe that the Ux is a tad over-rated.
This, I noticed when I showed off my ipod to my cousin one day. I kinda figured out that the user experience was not the best in the business...Many things could have been better. Even the jogger dial (Their killer supplement to the joystick)- You would have to get used to its sensitivity and other issues. That dial was never intuitive to me. Thanks to the media exposure, we all know what the jogger dial does and how it works!!! :)
The dial is super sensitive man. I dont think i can ever use an Ipod properly. i always get to the wrong song. But i like my touchy and feely shuffle. I dont even have to look at it to control my playlist. Its always clipped on to my pants pocket and i just feel the buttons and skip songs, pause, play and increase and reduce volume. The only problem is that an onlooker might think that i'm feeling my 'you know what' when i walk to work. :-)
I have been hearing something similar (the super sensitivity of the UI) on the iphone keypad too off late...

1) I am having trouble typing on the keypad. Maybe my fingers are too fat. I just keeping getting the letter next to the letter I meant to touch.
2) The websites appear too small and when I touch it to zoom in, I accidentally have touched a url which sends me to another website.
Marc Hedlund says
“Let’s not mince words, here: text input was better on a Newton. The keys are way too close together, full stop. The auto-suggestion works okay if you’re typing dictionary words (and not, say, street names, as in the Google Maps app) and if you’re in a context where typing space to accept is useful (in URLs, for instance, there is no space bar). "
Sunil havent you got your hands on an iphone yet?
No Umesh, not yet (hands on the iPhone I mean) and am not planning to. It seems to be targetted at teens. sounds over gimicky.
Next version may be.
I recently picked up a 30gig video ipod and I found so many UX issues.
Note : Some of them might be due to my ignorance, so please feel free to correct me.
1. When I'm listening to my iPod late at night and I want to turn it off, i need to do 3 damn clicks, then scroll to sleep and trun it off. Can't I have like a key combo or a switch to simply turn it off (The shuffle has this)
2. Why isn't there a sleep feature in the iPod - I mean I just want to listen to music for 30 mins and if I'm inactive during this itme, I want my iPod to turn off automatically.
3. This would be really good to have - if I take out my earphones, the iPod should pause automatically.
Well I think the UX isn't overrated. By far, it is very easy to use on all mp3 player I've seen. There are problems though. The major one I found being: when the iPod finishes playing an album, it goes back to the main menu for some reason, so if you want to play it again, you have to make 4 clicks-first select Music, then select Albums, select Album, and then play the first song. Maybe they just want me to use playlists like everybody else :)
