As a user- I always dislike it when i am asked for unnecessary infoSwati Rathihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13336222388807230308noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4445269723137820164.post-34339466693053157372007-12-12T09:06:00.000-08:002007-12-12T09:06:00.000-08:002007-12-12T09:06:00.000-08:00I received this comment in an email from Zubin Tav...I received this comment in an email from Zubin Tavaria (he handles Media Relations for Aztecsoft. If you look at it within the context of the entire page, you'll see that the form isn't being obtuse.

Another simple but powerful information this enables: It can tell you exactly what(page) the user was looking at - without the user needing to provide any information.Sowmya Karmalihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09200953962645166407noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4445269723137820164.post-30514520612981757532007-12-11T22:29:00.000-08:002007-12-11T22:29:00.000-08:002007-12-11T22:29:00.000-08:00@sunil If a potential client wants to ask you some...@sunil If a potential client wants to ask you something he will do it anyways. Be it two clicks or by sending an email or making a phone call. Its like you still using vista with all that bad UX you reported about. You still use it coz there are things which you still get done using vista.

Its about how you can improve the UX by making it a little more interactive by giving the forms without losing context and without navigating away.

If your potential client read about something on your site and if he has a query he can quickly use the side bar form to do it (He might want to quote something from the site's write up)rather than finding out the contact link and then navigating to that page to figure out how to contact you. He will do it anyways... but the sidebar form just makes his life simpler.Umeshhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16707436787975376432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4445269723137820164.post-24050729396555374412007-12-11T21:21:00.000-08:002007-12-11T21:21:00.000-08:002007-12-11T21:21:00.000-08:00Sowmya, you think so? Do you think when people like content and offerings, they shy away from contacting because the contact us is three clicks away?

Does this not rather look like the "COntact us, we are waiting for your call" ads you see if you stay way past mid night on certain channels?Sunil Shindehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12223421848697871761noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4445269723137820164.post-16400729991158339112007-12-11T21:14:00.000-08:002007-12-11T21:14:00.000-08:002007-12-11T21:14:00.000-08:00NiceNiceUmeshhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16707436787975376432noreply@blogger.com
