You may want to look at Yahoo also, which has just become an OpenID provider. It may be easier for people to sign up.

Drop me a mail (karmaliATgmailDOTcom), I'd love to discuss this further.Sowmya Karmalihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09200953962645166407noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4445269723137820164.post-63661523736040872712008-02-07T02:01:00.000-08:002008-02-07T02:01:00.000-08:00We're glad you liked the sign up process. We really...We're glad you liked the sign up process.

We really don't need Captchas 'cause all the blogs are checked by an actual human being to keep out spam and to ensure that the blogger is Indian.

Openid is something we are looking into right now. We're trying to settle on a reliable provider - any advice?

The autocomplete for cleaner tags - brilliant!! Why didn't we think that??! I ...Yeah, it is nice and I like your views as well. I am not sure about openid though. I had listed by blog at BlogAdda and found the registration form too simple there as well. In addition, the site looks cool as well!Reenanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4445269723137820164.post-472652995902578942007-12-27T02:29:00.000-08:002007-12-27T02:29:00.000-08:00@vinodh Yes. I have always wondered why the login form...Like it.

I have always wondered why the login form was never doubled up as a registration form also; if all we need is a userid and pwd to start with. The user needs to just confirm if he is a new user or not just in case to accidently register existing users in case of mistyped pwds/userids. Its a bit tricky but not un achievable.

> Include a captcha, just to prevent spam.

Somehow i have always found captchas irritating. It doesnt make my life simple. Isnt there any other usable way of me confirming that i'm a human? If there isnt, can we think of something in those lines? Ideas welcome...Umeshhttp://whitespace.umeshgopinath.comnoreply@blogger.com
