May be thats why i always clicked on the back button 4 times. :-) Never bothered to go thru the list and figure out though. Four clicks are faster for me. :-)Umeshhttp://whitespace.umeshgopinath.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4445269723137820164.post-51339490171554086842007-10-12T00:10:00.000-07:002007-10-12T00:10:00.000-07:002007-10-12T00:10:00.000-07:00Sunil, sorry my comment was not that clear :|. Firefox and IE6 have two combo box, for forward and going back.. and I would like to defend them.

Usually user uses these combo box on the basis of number of clicks, nobody actually remembers the page name. They just remember that 4 pages back there was a nice page :), so he won't click back 4 times but just choose it from combo box list(on the basis of that number), and that one combo box in IE7 fails to serve any purpose for that, because you will never know whether it was back or forth. Fine...!! There maybe some users who remember the name of pages, but those two combo-box serve them too.. Isn't it?? :)
All that just with use of one more combo box (i.e. 2 in firefox compared to 1 in IE7) !! Eureka :D"

I hope I make myself clear this time.vipulhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13609712710602043712noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4445269723137820164.post-44902721534288358692007-10-11T23:38:00.000-07:002007-10-11T23:38:00.000-07:002007-10-11T23:38:00.000-07:00Vipul, you mean, one less combo box, right?Vipul, you mean, one less combo box, right?Sunil Shindehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12223421848697871761noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4445269723137820164.post-22478450343204462082007-09-19T12:06:00.000-07:002007-09-19T12:06:00.000-07:002007-09-19T12:06:00.000-07:00Error by compulsive Firefox user:(!I was referring...Error by compulsive Firefox user:(!
I was referring to the history button on IE6 - that was a separate button. I've rarely used IE7, and I guess I didn't pay enough attention to the rest of the buttons.

So the IE 7 buttons make sense. Although I'd rather have a history button than a drop down (with the same functionality) - I think its just more intuitive.Sowmya Karmalihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09200953962645166407noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4445269723137820164.post-77105239240746588522007-09-19T04:53:00.000-07:002007-09-19T04:53:00.000-07:002007-09-19T04:53:00.000-07:00Right, @Sowmya, So by the time one reaches it, the...Right, @Sowmya, So by the time one reaches it, the drop-down is not needed at all :)Sunil Shindehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12223421848697871761noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4445269723137820164.post-74924092955629523052007-09-19T03:52:00.000-07:002007-09-19T03:52:00.000-07:002007-09-19T03:52:00.000-07:00Its hidden under the starIts hidden under the starUmeshhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16707436787975376432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4445269723137820164.post-82509985102068757492007-09-18T23:35:00.000-07:002007-09-18T23:35:00.000-07:002007-09-18T23:35:00.000-07:00and pray, where is the history button ? :)and pray, where is the history button ? :)Sunil Shindehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12223421848697871761noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4445269723137820164.post-12900646533620692272007-09-18T05:51:00.000-07:002007-09-18T05:51:00.000-07:002007-09-18T05:51:00.000-07:00I never used the arrows near the forward and back ...I never used the arrows near the forward and back buttons :-) I found it unusable somehow going through the list to figure out which page is what.
