What do you guys think of this ?
Settings tab is a natural place to have collate all settings (like tools -> options in windows) . Some usability guy clearly thinks that the comment moderation should be under postings tab. So he adds a tab and creates a link.
Is this how you would do it? if not, how?

blogger clogger
I noticed to my horror that Google actually has a label control masquerading as a text box!
You cannot type, you cannot select text ... Why would anybody do this? And why google?

Editing a post on blogger
... is so frustrating.
In response to Sowmya's query on my last blog questioning the correctness of inclusion of Apple in the label,
(1) I had to click on Customize in the top nav bar.

(4) And I am still not there. I still have to click on the Edit link.
Four damning clicks.
Would have been easier if the top nav had a link directly to dashboard allowing me to either customize, add a new post or edit an existing post.
(Im)purists can claim that I could have clicked on New Post -> Edit Postings -> Edit and have reached there in 3 clicks. That is besides the point. When I started the operation, I was mentally in a EDIT frame of mind. Between new blog and customize, it is obvious why I chose the later. the natural choice took me on a longer path - breaking one of the basic tenets of usability.

File this...
Blogger has the best implementation for blog categorization amongst all contemporaries.
Without forcing a taxonomy (and structure) on the writer, blogger allows freeform "labeling". The text-box provides intellisense and auto-complete making the task simpler.

I also love the way the labels render to provide the blog navigation.
